Powertec was established in 1998. Although they are a relatively young company within the Specialty Fitness industry, they continue to grow their business at a rapid pace. The owners of Powertec have over 25 years of experience in the designing, engineering and manufacturing of Strength equipment. Their roots began in the Gyms and Health Clubs, building equipment for facilities such as Bally's, Gold's, World's and Powerhouse Gyms in addition to hundreds of Schools, Universities and Pro Teams. These markets are extremely demanding accepting nothing less then the highest levels quality workmanship and performance.
When they decided to form a company that provides equipment for the home, they designed and built their equipment with the same level of integrity in quality, and function as could only be found in the Gym.
Powertec is also the original pioneer of Leverage equipment. Leverage machines combine the feel and natural resistance of free weights with the safety and control of a machine. They were first to develop this concept for the gyms in the early 1980's and now the first to bring Leverage machines into the home.
